Gothic Model;Kali Noir Diamond
She is one of the charming, cute and beautiful model in the gothic model industry . Kali Noir Diamond is one of the successful gothic model I’ve ever seen. Many people follow her on social platform and connected with her. from Serbia with a passion Gothic subculture and everything dark. So you can read and get to know a to z about this pretty girl. I hope you enjoy this amazing interview
- Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a gothic model? Why are you interested in this career?
I enjoy photo shoots and beautiful clothes, that’s really the base of it J
But, mostly I chose this career to be able to reach more people, not just through my photos, but through my blog too. My mission is to show the world the beauty and diversity of our goth culture and fashion.
- Why would you think you’re fit to be a goth model?
I am a goth behind the camera, I have been one for a long time. I understand the lifestyle and all that goes with it, the prejudice, social acceptance or lack of it, dark side of beauty and the need to stand out and be yourself. I think I can represent the lifestyle well, because I live it for real, every day.
- Tell us about your education: Have you attended fashion modeling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken?
No, actually, my education is from a whole different world- I am criminal profiler and a lawyer J But I don’t think you need to have an ‘education” in fashion to understand it and wear it well, it’s not like it is an exact science.
- What are your goals as a gothic model ? How do you see yourself progress in this field?
I am trying really hard to break most of the cliches about an alternative model, starting with the lack of professionalism just because we are not mainstream, to proving that a pretty girl can be so much more, and can offer and say some interesting things 😉 So I dare to say that I see myself as someone who is always a bit different and uncovnentional, who dares to rock the boat and make some serious waves.
- How do you communicate with people? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
That is one of the things I am very proud of but it is getting harder to achieve as my page grows- I try to talk to everyone, not just politely reply to compliments and say thank you. I really try to get to know most of the people, to talk to them and show them my respect and gratitude. I even made a couple of great friends like that J
- Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?
I don’t exercise , I hate that and I am not a fan of any sport 😀 I do try to take long walks and to stay active but only when I feel like it. I am by no means obsessed with calories, healthy food or “ideal” body type. I enjoy my life and I eat and do whatever I feel like.
- Which fashion magazines, websites, blogs, and catalogs do you visit most often?
Gothic and Amazing website and magazine are the place to go , and all the other fun magazies that promote alternative fashion and lifestyle.
- How would you describe your style?
Classic goth with a touch of oriental details and makeup.
- Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why?
I can’t really choose a favorite photo or a photo set. I have been lucky enough to work with amazing photographers so far and I haven’t had any bad experience, so I really enjoyed all of my photo shoots and all of the photos turned out good.
- Do you have any other experience in the goth fashion industry?
No, not really, I am a model, for 5 years now, and a blogger, but mostly I write about other things, not fashion.
- What is fun and rewarding about gothic modeling?
Meeting awesome and creative people from all over the world, definitely. I am so grateful for that opportunity. Of course, thousands of compliments and kind words from dear people who follow my work are just incredible and I cherish every one of them.
- What advice do you have for other aspiring goth models?
Arm yourselves with patience and surround yourselves with positive and supportive people. Gothic Modeling world is not that pretty at all, you will need it. Don’t build your confidence and importance on your likes and followers, don’t pay for it and be a fraud. Win people over with a kind heart and devotion for what you do. Do not, I repeat, do not try to be a diva, nobody likes that. Accept the competition, it is harsh. Enjoy the journey with modesty and don’t try to sabotage anyone. And please, put down the selfie stick.
- How do you prepare for a modeling shoot?
With a large cup of coffee and some good music, that is all I need. I get the ideas as I go, and photographers often help me get more inspired and relaxed. That connection and trust are what matters very very much.
- How would you describe working with the photographer?
As I said, it is a really specific kind of connection. You create something together, you need to trust each other and to feel comfortable. That is why I prefer working with photographers I already know and who are my friends.
- What does goth fashion mean to you?
It is a way of expressing myself, a very important one. It is a big part of who I am, but it does not define me. Being a goth and a Gothic model are just some aspects of my personality and my life. I am so much more than just a goth model.
- What do you think are the current and future trends in goth fashion?
I really don’t like many of new trends, the pastel hair, the clones with same wigs/ hair colors, same makeup, contouring to the point of crazy, simplified “urban” goth clothing, there is not much that I like about it. I hope the future brings more unique designs and something less sterile.
- How would you describe your personal style?
On everyday basis, I wear more comfy clothes. It is all black and goth, but I try not to obsess with a perfect look when I am out paying the bills or shopping for groceries. I even like the toned down style for sitting down for a cup of coffee with my friends. But when I go out to party or some big event, I dress up like there is no tomorrow J
- Anything else you’d like to say ?
As always, a lot of thank you’s. Thank you for this interview, thank you all who are supporting my work, you are amazing! I have some big projects waiting for me in the future and I will always try to grow as a Gothic model and offer new and different stories for you.
Thank you very much for this informative interview .
