In this interview, you will get to know about a rising beautiful Gothic model Eleanore Dystopia . She is a hippy-goth. A free spirit, an open mind. Macabre lover. And she is the kind of person who usually sees bright side of things, who is almost always on the side of the weak ones, unusual ones, the ones who are in minority. And there you have it, the combination of the darkness and the light, because the world cannot operate without the two. Like yin and yang, like darkness in a tunnel and light at the end of it.
Why do you want to work as a gothic model? :
I want to work as a ”Gothic model” because I am into modeling and expressing how I feel through it (which is similar to acting, and admit it, who didn’t want to become an actor/actress when they were young), but I don’t follow conventions overall and because my style of clothing, makeup, hair, walk etc. are the ones that are recognisable.
- Tell us about your education: Have you joined fashion modeling courses?
No. Never have I joined fashion modelling courses.
- What does gothic fashion mean to you?
Gothic fashion is elegant and mostly dark. Personally, I use back colour as a base, and then add some of my colours, which are red, white, purple, green and blue. There is also something I see as goth fashion, which comes in various forms and styles. It used to be only black clothes, lots of velvet, leather, finshnet, wetlook clothes etc, but nowadays they can be pure white, pastel (even though), they sometimes are not even “scary” (bubble goth). I like all those varieties, because it shows that goth(ic) society accepts peculiar ones among them, maybe because they were not accepted as such in the society. I may be called a hippy goth, but I also think that by defining things, you are limiting them, so I prefer being called a human being. I am not a big fan of tags, but if I must wear one to express who I am for the beginning, then hippy goth is my style. For the ones who want to know more about me, they must become my friends
- Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you workout or go to the gym?
I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks per day. My only physical activity is walking to the bus station, when I go to uni.
- Tell me, who are some of your favorite gothic models and designers, and why?
My absolutely favourite Gothic model is Miss Ophelia Overdose. I love reading Kali Noir Diamond’s blog on Althemy, one of my favourite sites. The sweetest person I’ve met, though only online, so far, is Gaelira Gwaelon. My favourite designers and brands are Shrine of Hollywood, Pleaser, Demonia, Truls Stokka of Draculaclothing, Agnieska Osipa Costumes, PunkRave, Y.R.U, For Love & Lemons, 24HRS, J Valentine, Banned, Black Pistol, Killstar, Restyle, T.U.K, UNIF, Sinister, Lip Service, Current Mood, Valfre, Cyber Dog, Kambriel, Vivienne Westwood, Zombie Peepshow redesigns, Pendragon Shoes, Moi Meme Moitie, One Spo, late Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Dior, Manolo Blahnik, Amber Ambrose Aurele, Pietro Yantorny, Christian Louboutin and many more.
Which gothic fashion magazines, websites and blogs, do you visit most often?

If you could be in your own business, what business would it be?
It’s a secret.
How would you describe your personality?
I am introverted. I don’t like it when my peace is disturbed, except for a few interesting people who I’d like to do that, but I am too shy to give them a “sign”.
How do you describe success?
Success is when you achieve your goals.
What got you interested in gothic modeling?
What got me interested in it is being noticed by goths, who I know very little in person. I liked this chance of meeting interesting people with similar taste to mine, who feel comfortable posing in front of the camera, just like I do.
What are your hobbies?
I used to go to ballet school and I still like dancing, but I don’t have enough time to go to uni, organise photo shoots, pose, meet my friends… Posing as an alternative/Gothic model started out as a hobby, but it is fortunately on a higher level now.
Do you have any other experience in the gothic fashion industry?
Accept posing and doing make-up and hair? Not for now, I am a new model, after all. But I’d like to do a runway show with Katarina Bozickovic Fashion, Danny Kovacevic Design, Andrea Jovanovska Design, Nomen jewelry and Ankoku Sisters.
What is fun and rewarding about gothic modeling?
Meeting new people with similar taste to mine, being contacted by brands who I want to sponsor my future work, arranging photo shoots with photographers and other Gothic models, making plans about the outfit, hair, make-up, being featured in great magazines or FB pages dedicated to alternative models and similar things.
How would you describe working with the photographer?
Creative. The atmosphere should be calm, idea-friendly, fun…
What do you think are the current and future trends in gothic fashion?
I think that current trends are dark, edgy and simple clothing… and for the future ones, we’ll see.
Where do you generally shop?
I am one of those who wears “normal” clothes in my own way and people see it as goth (gothic and hippy, of course). Anywhere. Although I rarely shop, I usually go to a seamstress to get my ideas sewn.
What are some of the main differences between gothic and others modeling?
Gothic models do not have to be tall, skinny, tan etc. And yes, gothic models are rarely paid, unlike their fellow models from the usual modeling world. Trade is usually present.
- What would you like to leave as a message to your faithful fans, followers and our precious readers?
I’d like to thank everyone for their kind words and support towards my work, together we shall show the world how beautiful darkness can be, not eerie, as most of the people think … And remember “when no one is lovely, I’ll make sure that I am around” (From Indian Lakes).
